How to Enable/Disable JavaScript
The following instructions describe how to set JavaScript options for:
Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, Safari and Opera browsers
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.X & Internet Explorer 5.X for Windows
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Select Tools > Internet Options.
- In the Internet Options dialog box, select the Security tab.
- Click the Internet icon at the top.
- Click Custom level button at bottom. The Security Settings dialog box will pop up.
- Scroll down to the Scripting category.
- Click the Enable buttons for Active Scripting, Allow paste operations via script, and Scripting of Java applets.
- Click OK to close the Security Settings dialog box.
- Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box.
- Click the browser Refresh button.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.X for MAC OS X
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Select Explorer > Preferences.
- On the left, click the arrow to expose the submenus under Web Browser.
- Click the Web Content item.
- Under Active Content (bottom of dialog box), check the Enable Scripting checkbox.
- Click the close box in the upper left corner to exit the dialog box.
- Click the browser Refresh button.
Mozilla Firefox 1.X for Windows
- Open Mozilla Firefox.
- Select Tools > Options.
- Select the Content tab.
- Click the Enable Java and Enable JavaScript checkboxes.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the browser Refresh button.
Mozilla Firefox 1.X for MAC OS X
- Open Mozilla Firefox.
- Select Firefox > Preferences.
- Select the Content tab.
- Click the Enable Java and Enable JavaScript checkboxes.
- Click the close box in the upper left hand corner to exit the dialog.
- Click the browser Refresh button.
Netscape 8.X
- Open Netscape.
- Select Tools > Options.
- Click on the Site Contols tab.
- Check the Enable JavaScript checkbox - 6th item.
- Click OK to exit the Options dialog box.
- Click the browser Reload button.
Netscape 7.X
- Open Netscape.
- Select Edit > Preferences.
- In the left Category menu, click the arrow next to Advanced.
- Click on the Scripts & Plugins item.
- Check the Navigator checkbox beneath Enable JavaScript.
- Click OK.
- Click the browser Reload button.
Netscape 4.X
- Open Netscape.
- Select Edit >Preferences.
- In the left Category menu, click the arrow next to Advanced.
- Check both Enable Java and Enable JavaScript checkboxes.
- Click OK.
- Click the browser Reload button.
Safari for MAC OS X
- Open Safari.
- Select Safari > Preferences.
- Click the Security tab.
- Check both the Enable Java and Enable JavaScript checkboxes.
- Click the close box in the upper left hand corner to exit the dialog.
- Click the browser's Reload button.
Opera 9.x
- Open Opera.
- Select Tools > Preferences.
- Click the Advanced Tab.
- Check the Enable Java and Enable JavaScript checkboxes.
- Click the OK button to save changes and exit the dialog.
- Click the browser Reload button.
